My Quest in Finding the Best Spa in Metro Manila

Most of us are preoccupied with work and other duties that we rarely have a chance to schedule an alone time and pamper ourselves. Needing a few hours of relaxation and an escape out of my busy schedule, I often find myself in a spa, looking forward to a much-needed massage.

However, after postponing my visit for quite some time, I suddenly had the urge to go out and treat myself to the best spa in Manila. A few of my friends are raving about The Spa’s great services so I decided to swing by their place and see for myself what the fuss is about. 

When I arrived at around 4 pm, I hurriedly checked on their wide selection of services. I came here for a single purpose – to get a massage in Manila. Instead, I decided to push through with the package, thinking that I truly deserve an entire afternoon of pampering and relaxation. Yes, it was expensive, but it felt amazingly good!

Apparently, the package I chose was supposed to be done in their Premiere Villa, which is to die for! So, I enthusiastically followed the attendant to my villa and enjoyed a full 30-minute sauna and Jacuzzi use while they prep the room.

After which, The Spa Rejuvenation scrub was next on the list. With the villa, sauna, Jacuzzi, plus the scrub, I actually felt that I got the most out of my money’s worth. But we’re not done yet. My most awaited part of the package is up next. 

For my massage, I opted to go with a combination of Swedish and Shiatsu. It was by far the best massage in Manila I’ve had.

As I leave the building, I totally feel like a different person. All the stresses of the entire week were totally forgotten and I was eager to welcome the new week with a fresh start. by kabangeles04

Along Mandaluyong City lies a very nice hotel - it is called NICE hotel, located downstairs of MRT Shaw Blvd.

At the same building there's a salon and spa called Good Looks, it is open 24 hours offering a nice massage for walk ins and travelers.

I've been going here for quite sometimes because it was here when I first felt the satisfying massage of Gina, a Cebuano Chinese looking female therapist who does not have an idea that she has the power to make me feel good.

Whenever I go here I would always look for her. She is top on my list of recommended therapist in Manila. If she is not around I would not avail a massage. She usually come around 8 pm on-wards so that she can provide a satisfying massage to her clients at night.

She is nice and kind hear ted person, she is fun to be with and she gives right amount of pressure to your body. She can provide the hardest pressure and has a very good muscle control. She seems to be a conservative person and hard to get.

This spa is small but their bed is nice, it has a hole. The room is small and you can hear the noise outside. It is really not a good place if you want to get some extra service from your therapist.

Wensha Spa in Timog

If there's a best spa with sauna in Quezon City, that would be the Wensha Spa in Timog. For the amount of 700 pesos plus the required tip of 100 pesos you get to enjoy their buffet, sauna, steambath, hotspring and whole body massage.

I've been here for a couple of times already and I do not regret on spending a night over here. The food is not bad, the pool is hot, the massage is very satisfying. However, there are things that I don't like about Wensha Spa in Timog:

1. You are required to give a hundred peso tip
2. Overcrowded when it's weekend
3. Only few choices of food.
4. Very old tiles, it looks very cheap and dirty.

I hope that the management of Wensha Timog should consider renovating the place so that it becomes more elegant and will atrract many foreigners.

I had the body scrub first. I was using a disposable underwear for a better scrubbing experience. Aileen(therapist) put Almond Milk scrub throughout my body and it was very smooth and has very good smell. I can still feel and smell the very good effect it has brought my body. It was my second body scrub after Age defying at Elite Nails in Pasig. And now I have two favorite body scrub services.
After the scrub I felt so clean, so fresh and light.

Swedish Massage
Thank God for giving me a very expert therapist - Aileen I had a very satisfying massage after that experience at Elite nails. I'm so glad because I always look up to the quality service of a therapist and not on anything else. Her hands were so warm and my body deeply appreciated it. She was so careful on penetrating the therapeutic points of my body. Tanggal talaga ang lamig ko na naipon for one week.
She is very careful not to touch sensitive parts of my body and I'd like to thank her for that.

It was only to her that I have so much appreciated Swedish massage, plus it was also my first time to experience the hot stone under my neck and back while having that kind of massage. Because the massage was truly amazing I fell into sleep without knowing that we're done.

Aileen deserves a good amount of tip because she really work hard for it.
They use hot herbal ball on my back. The feeling of the hot soft herbal ball rolling on my back, with the scent of essentials oils helps a lot in making refreshed my body.

I had a great experience with the massage I availed.

I had an Absolute Relaxation Package which includes: Athlete’s Massage + Foot Reflexology at Bluewater Day Spa Greenhills (last Feb 24)

It was a two hour massage. The first hour was lying in a massage bed and the second hour was while watching a movie inside the theater.

Their therapists were very polite and courteous even that male person who watches the locker and restroom showed me a very hospitable treatment and gave an assistance in my needs.

My masseur did a good job in providing me a satisfying massage that afternoon. I felt like all the stress in me were released.

She is very well trained in showing politeness and giving the right amount of pressure.

She also has a wide variety of strokes and that is something that I would always like to have when I'm in a spa.

When we're done in bed she asked me to transfer at the theater room. Again she gave a very satisfying massage - Foot Reflexology while watching movie.

Overall I was satisfied with the massage, the treatment that I got and everything good that I felt that time. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name.

I highly recommend Bluewater Spa in Greehills to those who are seeking for stress relief, a relaxing weekend, health benefits of a therapeutic massage and many more.

I will always save my money just to avail another set of Athlete’s Massage + Foot Reflexology at Bluewater Day Spa Greenhills.

I can say that Humanessence Spa in QC near SM North is the cheapest massage with shower and sauna. For only 299 pesos you can have a combination massage plus the use of sauna and shower.

Again, Humanessence is the only P299 1hr. full body massage + shower and steam! you find along the Metro. The location is near Hollywood a famous massage place for gays.

What else is free? locker, towel, tea, couch area.

Settings: You can choose from open or close massage area. Open area is the usual package for the 299 only massage while close area requires you an additional fee.

Waiting: There is no chance for you to wait in here they've got plenty of therapists.

Operating hours: last call is 2 am.
