Meditation can improve brain memory
In this world of chaos and confusion, it is hard to meditate. Here are few personal moments where you can meditate without putting too much effort and of course talking to yourself is one way. Here's a list which you can apply.
1. While sitting on the toilet. Imagine that you are the king of the world. Close your eyes and rise...as the ocean sound...feel the waves...devoid of your emotions.
2. Massage. Close your eyes and empty your mind. Feel the flow of energy the body is getting from the hands of the masseur. You are the King and the controller of peace.
3. Running relax a 3 kilometer. In today's run, it was like meditation. At first was hard to get a drive and motivation but thanks to my running buddy, I feel like doing this run like it's my daily routine.
When you run, you meditate. Try running very very slow and listen to your breathing, you will feel an inner peace.
4. The glow feeling after the run is because the body comes out happy hormones. This meditation is tried and tested.
5. I learned today the monks has a meditation technique where they walked really really slow, my Thai friend said it really helps you focus your mind and concentrate on one thing. It gives a better relaxation and inner satisfaction. A must try experience in Thailand.
6. Danni Ugali, a filipino filmmaker shares how he meditates. I usually meditate while on board, I make myself relax by putting cooling eye mask if available, if not sleeping mask will do. If it's a long haul flight, I bring coloring books or sketch pad to draw. It is also one way of meditation while moving.

Spada Cubao Long Time Ago
Another chance brought me to Spada Cubao because I have a gay friend who reads my blog and wants to know if he can choose male therapists here. His objective is to choose a cute guy to give him a satisfying massage. I suggested him to try FHM or Linggam.
I haven't been here for a long time....We came from a party.
He got a female therapist, and my other friend got a male one.
He had a female bit old therapist, with my first time it's Akiko, 30+ medium rare. She is a negative vibes. I didn't feel any welcome and accommodation on her. She gives a good strike at first but later on her massage becomes lazy. If you happen to caught Akiko as your therapist change her immediately.
As always SPADA never fails to give a happy ending. For the amount of 500 pesos you get an HJ for a good extra service.
SPADA is a wellness center for men an women and operates 24/7. Located at P. Tuazon Avenue besides Unioil gas station and near Ali Mall.
Red is the color of SPADA. The therapists are sitting around watching TV and they will make you feel welcome at really at home.
I smiled upon checking their menu. They've got FHM (For Him Massage) and LINGGAM massage (their specialty). So I asked what kind of massage are they?
FHM is a sensual whole body massage and a little bit of the genital parts, it costs 550 pesos for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Linggam is a more sensual body massage and focus on the genital parts, it costs 900 pesos for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The cheapest massage that they offer is the Spada massage. It is an ordinary massage like other spa have, it costs 350 pesos good for one hour.
I choose to have the cheapest massage but in my mind I'd also like to try FHM and Linggam.
The Verdict of my friend:
Ratings: 3/5
Lobby Area: Feel at home
CR: dirty and dark
Shower: ok lang not bad
Massage Room: bad area, you get a stiif neck lying on the floor
Bed: no hole nasa sahig lang

A Cure For Wellness
A superb storyteller and a master of pacing, director Gore Verbinski, along with an impressive cast that includes Dane DeHaan, Mia Goth and Jason Isaacs creates an unsettling, ominous atmosphere throughout “A Cure for Wellness”, immersing the audience in the world of the spa, where nothing is clear or straightforward.
When Lockhart (DeHaan) arrives at Volmer’s (Isaacs) sanitarium, he assumes that his mission will be simple: he will talk to Pembroke, his boss, and persuade him to come back to New York.
But Pembroke doesn’t want to leave. Nobody leaves. As the plot unfolds, we experience Lockhart’s mounting anxiety. In danger of losing his sanity, whom can he trust? Lockhart agrees to undergo a course of treatment administered by the doctor and his team after his accident going back without Pembroke.
Lockhart becomes friendly with Hannah (Goth) and together they set about uncovering the menacing secrets of the institute and its history. Far younger than the other patients, Hannah has spent her whole life at the Volmer Institute. Dr. Volmer takes care of her and she has minimal knowledge of the outside world.
“When we’re first introduced to Hannah, she comes across as this extremely naive and sheltered young woman,” says Goth about her character. “She’s never been encouraged or felt the need to question what it is that Volmer or the sanitarium represents.
And I think that’s because she has this remarkable ability to see the good and the beauty in all things.
On one level, it really is a father and daughter relationship between Hannah and Volmer, and there is a lot of deep love and respect there.
She has come to love and depend on her jailer,” says Goth, elaborating on the complex relationship between Hannah and Volmer.
Dr. Volmer’s lifesaving ‘cure’ involves supposedly ‘healing water’ at the spa, which he utilizes for his highly unconventional approach to medicine.
There are fascinating allusions to European mineral spas with their emphasis on cleansing, rejuvenation and revitalization. As the audience will soon discover, Dr. Volmer’s bizarre experimental therapies have a very different focus from the healing baths at the European spas.
The audience is right there with Lockhart as he endures the treatments that will allegedly heal him of his condition.
What exactly are those treatments? “Without giving too much away, there are a lot of eels involved! There is a sensory deprivation chamber; there is some pretty intense dental work! I truly get tortured throughout the movie,” laughs DeHaan who had several sessions in an isolation tank.
“First I was in the tank, and then I was in the dentist chair. I call it my week of torture. That’s a week I’ll never forget. It’s supposed to be scary and it was scary!”
According to Verbinski, it’s not just the patients who are experiencing Dr. Volmer’s cure. The film is so immersive that audience members almost feel as though they are enduring the treatment along with the protagonist.
“What’s nice is that we’re perpetrating crimes upon the audience,” says Verbinski. “There’s a treatment that is happening to Lockhart and you are observing what is happening to him with the treatment, with the experiments at the sanitarium.
But the question is: who is the patient? Is the patient Lockhart or is it the audience? That’s what fascinates me about this genre; we’re taking people into a darkened room and performing a psychological experiment on them. I’ve set out to analyze the moviegoer; I wanted to ‘diagnose’ the audience and then offer a cure. And we’re giving them a good story to keep them involved.”

What Matters Most in a Massage Session
Long hard days of work, routine schedules, and stress-filled lives can no doubt push our bodies to our limit and make us yearn for our own relaxation time. One increasing popular industry is the spa and massage centers which can be found now in practically any city. In that case, how will you choose which would be the best place to get a massage and how can you get the most out of it? Both questions hold one answer: communication.
Communication matters in a massage session. A committed massage therapist must be able to communicate well with a client and produce a calm atmosphere where clients become comfortable in voicing their needs. It is the key to creating a favorable relationship between the therapist and the client.
Right from the moment you book an appointment, communication with the client must be established. Most clients time their appointments meticulously – others like having a massage before the start of the day to freshen them up while others prefer having their stress relieved at the end of a long night. Remember, no one knows you body more than you and that is why massage therapists must be able to accommodate clients in their preferred schedule as much as possible or at least, help them find suitable available time for both the client and therapist. In booking appointments, request your preferred massage technique, type, or kind of therapist as well. In that way, the massage centers may be able to find an appropriate massage therapist that can best accommodate your needs.
However, communication does not only happen one-way in which case, you as a client must also voice out your opinions and needs. One such case is telling your massage therapist of your complete medical history, such as medications you are currently taking, and any past or present accidents and injuries. Massage is more than just rubbing your skin for relaxation. For years, it has been thought to have the ability to restore not just your mind but also that of your body’s health. Massage therapy deals with a lot of health conditions such as back pain, spinal cord injury, high blood pressure, and sleep disorders. It also helps them know where to focus to relieve you of your pain and stress, as well as any allergies to possible massage oils that they may be using.
During the session, the comfortable atmosphere between the client and therapist must still be intact for the client to feel like he/she can freely give his/her feedback. Don’t be afraid in voicing out concerns whether it be the temperature or lighting of the environment. Other centers would be playing music, if you prefer other kinds of music or if you like having a massage quietly, make sure to tell your therapist. Giving feedbacks regarding the amount of pressure and speed of the hand movements is also very important.
Don’t be afraid to tell your concerns because as professional massage therapists, their job is to make you feel comfortable as much as possible. Lastly, communication is the best way to express your gratitude to your therapists. It would make their day just hearing a thank you from their clients knowing they have done their job to help you with your pain and stress.
